Earthing rod copper round 16mm 1.5 meters
How best to install a grounding rod.
- Make a hole in the ground of about 50cm
- Drive the rod into the ground (with the hammer head) up to about 10cm above the ground
- Connect the rod to the earthing meter and measure the spreading resistance , which for domestic installations should be less than 100 ohms and preferably less than 30 ohms.
- If the spreading resistance is not yet sufficiently small, you have to place an extra rod:
- Either knock it into the ground in the same way, but at least 2 meters away from the first rod.
- Or you can attach another bar to the already placed bar by connecting it with a sleeve.
- If you do not have enough of 2 bars, it is best to place an extra bar at 2 meters from the other bars, if you have already knocked 2 bars into the ground at 2 meters from each other then place the 3rd bar at the place where the 3 bars will then form a triangle.
Can be combined with grounding rail
